Does it hurt? How is anesthesia handled?

Depending on the treatment, we use anesthesia — topical or sleep anesthesia — to reduce discomfort. When sleep anesthesia is needed, it is 110,000 KRW (VAT included). Your doctor explains the expected sensation and the anesthesia method before we begin. How much you feel varies by individual.

Can I continue treatments I started at another clinic?

Yes. Telling us the type and timing of your past treatments makes the consultation far more accurate. We don't start over — we read your current structure with the EVE 3D Skin Analyzer and design how to continue from where you are. This is especially useful if you've tried a lot but feel nothing has changed.

Are consultations available in English, Japanese or Chinese?

Yes. We support international patients with multilingual coordination. Pre-visit consultation is available on WhatsApp, LINE and WeChat; send us photos and your treatment history in advance and we'll outline what's possible before you arrive. We reply within 24 hours.

Question 4

Does a board-certified plastic surgeon perform the treatment?

We keep these two roles clearly separate. The diagnostic and design framework of the VAVA 3D Protocol was built by a board-certified plastic surgeon. Your actual treatment is then carried out one-on-one by your doctor, following that protocol. In short: the plastic surgeon designs it, your doctor performs it.

Question 5

Does the doctor who consults me also perform the treatment?

Yes. At VAVA, the doctor who consults with you is the same doctor who performs your treatment, one-on-one. Diagnosis, plan, treatment and follow-up stay with the same doctor — consultation and treatment are never handed off, and no consultant makes the decision for you.

Can I fly right after a treatment?

Accepted Answer

Many skin booster and toning treatments allow same-day travel, but it depends on the treatment. Tell us your travel dates in advance and we'll design your treatment around your flight and recovery, and we will provide you a post-op care guide.

Question 7

How long should I wait after my previous treatment?

Accepted Answer

VAVA publishes its safety-interval rules. Ultherapy, Thermage and Sofwave: after 6 months; Oligio, Potenza and Onda: up to 3 sessions one month apart, then a year later; skin boosters: after 1 month; botulinum toxin: after 3–6 months; filler: touch-up from 2 weeks; volume fillers: after 1 month depending on progress. We don't recommend retreatment before the interval is up. We confirm with a diagnosis first, and won't recommend anything unsuitable.

Question 8

Can I walk in? Is same-day treatment possible?

We recommend booking ahead so your doctor can consult with you properly. Skin boosters and fat-dissolving injections are often possible same-day; higher-energy treatments such as Ultherapy or Thermage are scheduled after consultation. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, available slots may be limited by the doctor's schedule.

Will I be pushed toward treatments I don't need?

No. We first read your facial structure with the EVE 3D Skin Analyzer, and leave out any ingredient or step your diagnosis says you don't need. We don't add treatments — or shorten retreatment intervals — to boost sales. If you don't need a treatment, we tell you so on the spot.

What if something comes up after I return home?

After you return home, you can send photos by messenger and we'll review them and advise. In case of any adverse reaction we provide contact channels and a local-care guide; for emergencies, arranging a visit is our top priority.

Question 11

Can I maintain results visiting once a quarter?

Accepted Answer

We design treatment intervals and home care around your visit rhythm. If you come to Seoul once a quarter, we can plan an annual schedule that fits that rhythm within the safety-interval rules. Between visits, we check your progress by messenger and adjust the next one.

Question 12

How do I pay? Is VAT included? Which methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

The price shown is the price you pay, VAT included, and it's the same regardless of nationality. We accept cards (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, Amex), Alipay, WeChat Pay and ZeroPay. Please note that Apple Pay and PayPal are not accepted.

Can I have just a consultation without treatment? Is there a consultation fee?

Accepted Answer

Yes, that's completely fine. The consultation is free, and you're never obligated to proceed afterward. We explain — on the spot — what your skin needs now and what it doesn't, along with your diagnosis. There's no quote that grows after the consultation.

Question 14

What should I use for home care?

Accepted Answer

We provide a per-treatment aftercare guide in your language. It covers home-care products, cleansing and sun protection, along with a recovery timeline (D0 → D1-3 → week 1 → week 4), and we walk you through your next-visit plan as well.

Question 15

How long do results last?

Accepted Answer

Duration varies by treatment and by your individual skin and structural condition. Results vary by individual, so we don't guarantee a fixed period. During consultation, based on your diagnosis, we explain the recommended number of sessions and how to maintain results for each treatment.

Is a deposit required?

Accepted Answer

Most treatments do not require a deposit. A deposit applies only to treatments that need sleep anesthesia (sleep anesthesia is 110,000 KRW, VAT included); when it applies, we explain the method at the time of booking. There's no deposit for a consultation-only visit.
